We replaced the vanity with a prefab cabinet and installed a custom granite countertop and backsplash using a skilled granite countertop fabricator. To make the vanity flash a push pop up vessel sink and a deck mounted faucet was installed.
A skirted bathtub was installed with a toe operated drain. A new shower valve and trim kit was also installed.
The surround was custom built using cultured marble with a corner shelf and soap dish. We also installed a vinyl window using frosted glass to obscure the outside view.
Before Remodeling
The previous picture illustrates the prefab frameless glass door that was installed for the new shower.
The old bathtub was replaced. The client wanted to get away from the small tiles and the mold issues. I suggested using a cultured marble surround to minimize the issue.
The ceiling had water damage with a heavy popcorn texture. We scraped the entire ceiling to remove the texture. The water damage was carefully encapsulated. Then the ceiling was skimmed, floated, and re-textured using a better finish by our incredibly talented drywall repair contractor.
